We're having different models, for different targets. Many of them share common definitions, which have been created in Hackolade. It would be nice to be able to export these definitions as standalone JSON files, to reference them in other models with different targets, without having to recreate them everywhere.
The ability to "forward-engineer to JSON Schema the model definitions" is non only foreseen, but it is coming up in the near future.
In the meantime, you may create references to "external definitions", as long as the definitions are either in a Hackolade data model of the same target, or a JSON Schema file.
